MESI mTABLET Release Notes — Version 1.39.0
Release Summary
The latest MESI mTABLET software update (v1.39) focuses on enhancing diagnostic accuracy, workflow efficiency, and system customization.
With major updates to ECG, SPIRO+, and Vitals, as well as general improvements to the MESI mTABLET system, users can expect smoother operation, stronger connectivity, and more flexibility when integrating into clinical environments.
Version 1.39 also introduces new customization options such as institution logos on reports, automatic data cleanup, and custom NTP server configuration for large-scale hospital networks.
ECG Improvements
Enhanced diagnostic reliability and control
Long rhythm ECG printing – Print both a full rhythm ECG (up to 5 minutes) and the standard 10-second ECG. Printing is available directly from the mTABLET and mRECORDS in the 1×12 lead format.
Editable ECG interpretation – Users can review, edit, or confirm the automatic Glasgow interpretation directly on the mTABLET.
Option to hide the interpretation on reports.
Option to revert back to the original Glasgow output if needed.
Summary: Extended rhythm ECG printing and full control over ECG interpretations.
SPIRO+ Improvements
Better visibility and reporting flexibility
Lower-Limit-of-Normal (LLN) values displayed – Supporting more accurate clinical interpretation.
New report layouts:
One-page, landscape report with larger graphs and clear visual presentation.
Multi-page portrait report remains available when multiple measurements (FVC, FEVC, SVC) are performed.
Summary: Clearer and more flexible spirometry reports with preserved clinical data and LLN display.
Vitals Improvements
Simplified interface and extended functionality
Refreshed user interface – Improved color contrast and layout for easier use.
Separated Pulse Rate from SpO₂ – For clearer data visualization.
Manual data entry – Users can now manually enter or update measured values, with these entries clearly marked as manual.
Early Warning Score (EWS) updates:
EWS can be selected directly from the recording screen.
Supports additional EWS types: NEWS2 S1, NEWS2 S2, and MEWS.
Configuration moved from User Profile to Advanced Settings.
Summary: Improved usability, expanded EWS options, and more flexibility for manual data handling.
General MESI mTABLET Improvements
System connectivity, data management, and customization
Performance & Connectivity
Optimized module connection – Faster connection of all paired modules upon login, minimizing setup time.
Alternative mode “Optimized for battery life” connects each module only when needed.
Improved module connectivity – More stable and reliable communication between mTABLET and measurement modules, especially in the Vitals app.
Custom NTP server configuration – Institutions can now define their own time synchronization server to meet internal IT and security policies.
Data Management
Automatic patient data cleanup – New setting allows users to define a time period after which inactive patient records and related measurements are deleted.
The cleanup is synchronized with mRECORDS when connected to the internet.
Helps manage storage, maintain data privacy, and keep records organized.
Customization
Customer logo on reports – Institutions can upload their logo for automatic display on all printed reports.
Upload in Advanced Settings → Import Logo.
Supported format: JPG or PNG (446×126 px).
Option available for both mTABLET and mRECORDS.
Hardware Update
Thermometer improvements – The Infrared Forehead Thermometer can now be used independently of the Contact Thermometer.
The IR thermometer functions normally even if the contact thermometer is out of range, has low battery, or is not connected.
Summary: Faster connectivity, improved data handling, institution branding, and independent IR thermometer operation.
Fixes
Stability improvements across all modules and apps.
Minor bug fixes to enhance reliability and performance.
